The National Association for College Admissions Counseling, also known to higher education industry insiders as NACAC, is a member-directed organization comprised of 10,000+ professionals committing to assisting students with their pursuit of postsecondary education. According to NACAC.com, the organization has focused on "maintaining high standards that foster ethical and social responsibility" for more than 70 years. Through its governing body, which consists of an Assembly of delegates and an elected Board of Directors, NACAC works to develop college admission policies that uphold a high standard of integrity. The membership within NACAC is quite diverse, from secondary school and independent counselors, to college admission and financial aid officers, enrollment managers, and organizations.
