Advisory Council
The Reach Students Online Advisory Council will serve as external “ambassadors” for online student lead generation and to lend high caliber expertise to the educational community about expanding their interactive advertising efforts.
Our advisory board consists of prominent individuals who have offered us their help in a variety of ways--from providing organizational consulting to helping us refine our ideas to introducing us to policymakers who can help put those ideas into practice.
Member Composition:
1. Academic Advisors – Admissions Directors, Guidance Counselors, other institution/school executives
2. Business/Industry Advisors – Peers or experts in the education and marketing industries
3. Organizational Advisors – Non-profit specialists |

Gina Biancardi, VP, Industry and Public Relations,
The CollegeBound Network
In May of 1985, at only 20 years old, Gina received her B.A. from Herbert H. Lehman College, CUNY. She graduated with a GPA of 4.0, Summa Cum Laude and a member of Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society. Then, in May of 1992, Gina received her M.A. from New York University.

While pursuing her graduate studies, Gina co-founded The CollegeBound Network, a business that's helped millions of learners connect with educational institutions. With over 20 years experience in student recruitment and marketing, Gina continues to play an integral role in the CollegeBound Network's success story.
Over the years Gina has successfully juggled motherhood (mother of three daughters), a successful career, and community involvement -- ranging from Girl Scout Leader to PTA Advocate to various officer positions in Italian-American organizations.
Her most recent worthy cause is launching ReachStudentsOnline.org, a site she hopes will raise awareness of the benefits, protocol, and efficiencies of online recruitment.
Gina also enjoys yoga, Pilates, writing, cooking, entertaining and party planning in her spare time. She mostly enjoys breaking bread with family and friends!

Slavonia brings with him two decades of experience producing with diverse teams and marketing ideas successfully. As VP of Business Development at Rent.com from 2001-2007, Slavonia was responsible for making the site the most visited Internet Listing Site online, hosting 50mm visitors annually. In addition to consumer acquisition, Slavonia directed Rent's strategic partnerships, including those with Bank of America, Experian, Monster and Yahoo!. He also conceived and led the development of a proprietary lead generation business called GigaMoves.com, which matches consumers in need of professional moving services with qualified, insured movers. GigaMoves today powers eBay Motor's vehicle shipping platform and became the first collaborative effort between Rent and eBay.
Slavonia holds a B.A. in Broadcast Communication Arts from San Francisco State University.

Kenneth Pinnola, St. John's University
Kenneth L. Pinnola is a marketing and advertising professional with extensive experience both in the corporate and academic spheres. He currently serves as Media Director at St. John’s University, NY, where he is responsible for strategizing and implementing all University advertising and promotions for all five campuses.

Prior to St. John's University, Pinnola was employed at various advertising agencies in New York City, working with notable accounts from Verizon and the United States Coast Guard, to the Office of the National Drug Control Policy (O.N.D.C.P.) and Dassault Falcon Jet.
Pinnola has been recognized with the Case Award for an Out-Of-Home advertising campaign for St. John's University (2004) and the St. John's University Vincentian Community Award (2003).

Milton Pierce, The Admissions Doctor
Milton Pierce has worked with admissions representatives for over two decades in various roles, including National Trainer, Director of Admissions, Campus Manager, Internship Coordinator, and Placement Director. As the "admissions doctor," Pierce conducts National Admissions Training seminars for both national and state associations and helps smaller institutions with their enrollment needs as a consultant.

Andy Kelley is the founder and president of Effective Student Marketing, Inc. (ESM), a strategic marketing organization in Andover, Massachusetts that specializes in student lead generation strategies for continuing education, career, technical and vocational schools across the United States.

John Buckley, Assistant VP for Undergraduate Enrollment, Fordham University
John Buckley earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the College of the Holy Cross in 1984 and a master's in education (Personnel and Counseling) from Fordham University in 1989. John has spent his entire 23-year career in higher education at Fordham, initially serving the university as an admission counselor, and was named director of admission in July 1992. Currently, Buckley is the assistant vice president for undergraduate enrollment at Fordham.

Buckley is an active member of numerous professional associations, including NACAC, NYSACAC and The College Board. He has served on the Executive Board for NYSACAC as membership chair and also as a New York delegate to NACAC national assembly. For three years, Buckley was a member of the faculty at NYSACAC's Summer Institute. From 1994-2001, John served on the Executive Board of the National Catholic College Admission Association including a term as Association President (1999-2000).
In both 2005 and 2007, he represented Fordham on the local arrangements committee for The College Board National Forum, most recently serving as co-chair of the Scholarship Committee.
Buckley is a frequent speaker at panels and programs related to the college search process. He has often presented at state and national conferences on a wide variety of admissions and enrollment topics.

Celia Ffrench, Career Education Corporation
Celia Ffrench is a direct response marketing executive who has been working in online inquiry generation in a variety of roles for the past 10 years. Her current position as Vice President of Media Services at Career Education Corporation has put her squarely in the online education boom for the past five years.

Celia provides the primary leadership for strategy and development of advertising campaigns that drive the marketing efforts for the Online Education division at this for-profit education company. These efforts translate to 5 million+ qualified student inquires annually. She has a strong focus on using technology to enhance inquiry quality, conversion rates, and customer retention.
Celia holds a B.S. in Anthropology from the University of Iowa, and has won numerous industry awards for direct response creative development.

Board Development: To assess, develop, review, and enhance the policies, by-laws, and human resources necessary to effectively institute the mission while maintaining the integrity of the organization.
Communications: To effectively and consistently communicate our message to the media and the general public. To complete documents that will reflect our goals, such as writing an article for the online newsletter, or serving as a guest blogger, etc.
Website/Programming: To develop and implement programs which provide information, networking opportunities and resources to our audience. To provide access to the tools of online lead generation.
Membership: To educate and empower our audience and peers with the tools to make better choices to improve their enrollment goals. Create a demand or interest in our services/program.
Annual Conference/Meeting: To develop and implement a yearly meeting that provides information, networking opportunities and resources to further our mission.
Awareness Campaign: To provide resources that will educate and empower our target audience to raise worldwide awareness of our innovative online recruitment programs. |
